Our daughter Casey, and her fiancée Tim, knew each other over eight years before they decided to get married. During the eight years prior to their marriage, they have climbed more mountains, and conquered more issues than 10 young couples added together, and the triumphs they've enjoyed has made their relationship, and now their marriage, very strong.  Keep in mind that when your daugher gets married, you don't loose her, but you gain a son, which is a good deal to us.

As the proud step-father of the bride,  I've put together this account of Casey's wedding for all interested parties to relive.  Click on the highlighted link of interest below, to relive the events leading up to their wedding, the wedding, and the aftermath of the event.

Preparation:  Casey and Tim announced that they were going to tie the knot about a year before the event.  Read about the preparations, the frustrations, the work, and how the whole event came together.

Friday, June 22, 2007:  It's a long day of getting ready, involving such chores as last-minute cleaning, setting up the big top tent, canopies, and installing decorations.

Wedding Rehearsal:  The night before the wedding, we had a rehearsal of the wedding, including all members of the wedding entourage, the minister, and other key players.  After much of the hard work was completed,  the bar opened and the pizza was served!

June 23, 2007:  Wedding Day!  Casey and Tim get married, in our back yard!  Features the write-up and photos of the ceremony. This chapter may take some time to load, as there are 38 digital photos... but it's worth the wait!

Sandra Dee's BBQ:  We hired a local barbecue company, Sandra Dee's, to provide delicious barbecue and to cater the wedding meal.

Sunday Breakfast:  The day after the wedding, we invited Mr. and Mrs. Pelfrey over for Sunday brunch, along with other guests.  Sharlene and Jacquie cooked a wonderful Sunday brunch for everybody!

Aftermath:  What is it like to have a huge party in your house and your backyard for about 70 people?  What is it like to clean up after the fact?  Do you really want a wedding at your house?  Check it out... here.
