Bella Bru Café is a departure from our usual club protocol, as it's not full service, it's a small chain of restaurants in the greater Sacramento area, and the menu isn't our normal, "truck stop diner" fare.  But, nothing in life is etched in stone, and members of the Sacramento Breakfast Club are always interested in a different breakfast experience.

Photo:  Friday, April 26, 2013, the Sacramento Breakfast Club held our bi-monthly meeting at the Carmichael location of Bella Bru Café.  The restaurant is located in an upscale strip mall, and it offers plenty of easy, free parking.

Photo:  Bella Bru Café is packed on this beautiful, Friday morning.  The Sacramento Breakfast Club can be seen seated at the large table in the center of the photo.  The format is that you walk up to the counter, place your menu from the posted menu behind the counter, and make your payment.  In return, you're given a plastic "thing" with a number... like an Auschwitz inmate, you're now a number.  In just a few minutes, a staff member will bring your order to your table.  No tip is expected or required, however, a tip is always appreciated.  The self-service coffee bar is to the right of the photo, directly behind Matt, in the red shirt.  You get a cup, and you help yourself to unlimited cups of delicious coffee.

Photo:  When your order is ready, a server matches your order to your number, delivers your order, and takes away your number.  You're now free of Auschwitz and you're free to enjoy your meal!

Photo:  In my case, as the photographer, webmaster, and publisher, I have the ability to offer my personal opinion of my breakfast at Bella Bru Café:  My Greek Omelet portion was "just right," as it filled me up, allowed me to skip lunch, but I didn't gorge myself, nor did I have to take a portion of my meal home in a box. I have to admit that I didn't care for the marinated olives, or the feta cheese, so, in the future, I'll probably skip Greet Omelets.  It was my mistake to order the omelet, and not the fault of Bella Bru Café. I just didn't care for the variety of the omelet, and the ingredients, but the quality, and the quantity was great.  Just my personal preference...

In addition to comfortable, fun dining, and delicious food, Bella Bru Café has a great website which illustrates the many events happening at the restaurant, but more importantly, their complete breakfast menu is published on the World Wide Web, for all web heads to surf.

The verdict?  ... Bella Bru Café is a winner, and is highly recommended by members of the Sacramento Breakfast Club.
