Welcome to our Restaurant reviews for Merced, known worldwide as the "Gateway to Yosemite" and also known as a diner's paradise in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, of central California. Clink on the link below to review the restaurant of your choice. Black Bear Diner: Sure it's a cutesy-poo, bear-themed restaurant, but the staff is friendly, the food is great, and the portions are huge... you'll leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face. Big Bubba's Bad BBQ: The mechanical bull is gone, the shooting gallery is history, but the beer is good, the people are friendly, and we enjoy "Taco Tuesday!" Denny's Restaurant: Features classic... Denny's cuisine, including great value, friendly people, and the Denny's menu found everywhere. Has been in the same location for over 40 years... Cinema Café: A Merced classic diner, located at the old Strand Theater. Offers breakfast and lunch cusine inside the tiny dining room, but also offers comfortable, shaded dining on the sidewalk. J & R Tacos: Their motto reads, "A healthy twist on Mexican cuisine," and the menu offers lots of healthy, and vegetarian items. Just because the food may be healthy doesn't mean it skimps of flavor... Bellini's Roman Bistro: Serves great Italian cusine in friendly, pub-like atmosphere, and offers some of the best pizza to found in Merced. Florencio's Mexican Restaurant: Features authentic, Northern Mexican cusine, that's almost too good to be true, and offers elegant, patio dining, all at very attractive prices. Mario's Taco Shop: Mario's is a one-stop taqueria for great Mexican food, as they served combinations, breakfast burritos, burritos, tortas, tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, seafood, hamburgers and more... Maria's Taco Shop: Located in an ex-Taco Bell building, Maria's serves excellent tacos, enchiladas, menudo and much more, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Big Bubba's Bad BBQ: Bubba's is a Texas-style barbecue joint, that includes fun, farmily-friendly dining, an in-house micro-brewery, a honky-tonk atmosphere, and some of California's best barbecue. LaNita Cafe: A Merced icon of Mexican food for over 40 years, this restaurant is a favorite of local diners. Mi Casa Cafe: This restaurant is a well-kept secret, as it features delicious food and full-featured menu, and is known mostly to locals. Firehouse Brewpub Restaurant: Outstanding in-house micro brewed beer, and California bistro and barbecue on the menu, this place is the talk of the town. Update, December 24, 2006: Firehouse has morphed into Big Bubba's BBQ. Copyright(c) 2011 eRench Productions, Inc. All rights reserved. This site has been on the web since December 22, 2002.
