Strikes Unlimited is the premiere bowling alley in Rocklin, and offers family-friendly bowling, an arcade, events, live music and a restaurant/sports bar, the Halftime Bar and Grill, which offers weekday $6.00 lunch specials.

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  Halftime Bar and Grill is located inside of the gigantic Strikes Unlimited bowling complex in Rocklin.  The restaurant occupies one end of the building, and, like the building, the restaurant is enormous.  One end of the restaurant is furnished sparsely, as its used for events and occasional bands.  In fact, tonight, they were hosting a benefit concert for the victims of last month's tragedy in Las Vegas.

Photo:  The entrance to the restaurant/sports bar from the bowling alley.  The door a the extreme left of the photo is actually one of the entrances of the restaurant, and the photo gives an idea of just how gigantic the room is. It's 11 o'clock on Friday morning, November 10, 2017, and I'm here to enjoy an "All-American Burger" from their $6.00 lunch menu, which is offered weekdays between 1100 and 1500.

Photo:  I'm standing in the middle of the dining room, looking towards the bar, which is the focal point of the room. The huge dining room is also used as an entertainment center, and during today's visit, a crew was setting up lights and a stage at the far end of the room for tonight's benefit concert.  Halftime Bar and Grill is part restaurant and part sports bar, as the decor is pure sports bar, and the menu is half restaurant and half sports bar.

Photo:  Strikes Unlimited features one of the largest bowling alley's that I've ever seen, with 20 lanes in all.  The bowling alley also features a small snack bar, and if you order a brew or food from Halftime Bar and Grill, you can bring it to the bowling alley.

Photo:  Between the entrance to the restaurant and the bowling alley, there is a video arcade, full of games sure to please the younger set.  I was amazed at how many kids were present on this late Friday morning, until I realized that tomorrow, Saturday, is Veteran's Day, so the kids get to celebrate the holiday today.

Photo:  The weekday $6.00 lunch special menu.  With me being the connoisseur of burgers that I am, the "All-American Burger" was my obvious choice, but everything on the menu looked great, especially the "Personal Pizza."

Photo:  My friendly hostess, Sara, was busy tending bar, but she also doubled as hostess for the restaurant.  There are several monitors mounted above the bar, and around the room, and during the 10-minutes is took for my burger to arrive - which is very fast service - I was able to catch up on last night's Seahawks football game that I missed.

Photo:  Sara brings my burger and fries to the table with a smile.  Too bad I was just a little too late on the shutter, as a second shot wasn't an option, as she had many other customers waiting for their orders.  I "opened" up the restaurant, and within a few minutes, I was surprised at how many others were in the dining room.  I suppose I'm not the only one who can't resist a bargain-priced lunch.

Sara was very pleasant, efficient, and graciously allowed my to take her photo, and she returned the favor by taking mine.

Photo:  Thanks, Sara, for snapping my photo, as I prepare to enjoy my bargain-priced "All-American burger."

Photo:  My "All American Burger," and the mountain of beer battered fries included with the burger.  All of this wonderful food for $6.00, plus $0.44 tax.  Although the bar has a wide array of beer on tap, and even more in bottles, I chose a glass of ice water, as the price is right, and I had to drive.

You don't just get a hamburger, you get a cheeseburger, with your choice of cheese.  The burger starts out a quarter pound patty, a slice of cheese - I chose cheddar - and includes lettuce, onion, tomato and pickle.  I honestly didn't bother to check if it had mustard or mayonnaise and after eating the burger, I still don't know, but I don't care as the burger was amazing.  All of these amazing components are placed between a fresh, toasted bun.  Pure burger bliss!

I've never had beer battered fries before, and the fries were simply amazing!  The fries were cut thick - just the way I like them - battered, and deep fried to perfections.  I'm sure these fries won't win any awards from the "health police," but they certainly were delicious.

I love burgers, and I know a delicious burger when I see, taste and enjoy one, and Halftime Bar and Grill serves a delicious, quality burger. You just can't beat the $6.00 lunch specials offered weekdays at Halftime Bar and Grill! The food is delicious, the service is fast, the staff is friendly, the sports bar atmosphere in unbeatable, and you get maximum "bang" for your buck.  When you find yourself in west Rocklin, on Lonetree Blvd. in Rocklin on a weekday, and you're in the mood for a great lunch, look no further than Halftime Bar and Grill, located inside Strikes Unlimited bowling alley.  You'll love the lunch and you'll love the bargain-basement price.
