I'm able to pass by a lot of things, but one thing that I'm unable to resist is a hot dog cart, on the streets of Ensenada, that sell bacon-wrapped hot dogs for the unheard of price of three for MEX $25.00.  Three fully-dressed, grilled, bacon-wrapped hot dogs for a little over U.S. $2.00!!!  Sign me up!

Photo:  Earlier in the afternoon, I passed by the northwest corner of Av. Miramar and Blvd. Benito Juarez, and this little hot dog cart was nowhere to be seen.  Like most carts that serve hot dogs and hamburguesas, they don't set up shop until early evening.  It's 9 O'clock on Monday evening, September 10, 2012, and this hot dog cart is in business for the evening.

Photo:  Hot Dogs is operated by a husband and wife, who tap into city electricity and fire their grill with propane.

Photo:  Tonight's special was three hot dogs for MEX $25.00 - I actually was in the mood for a hamburger - but I could not pass that bargain by.  We're talking about bacon-wrapped, fully dressed hot dogs at a bargain-basement price!  Here the wife puts the finishing touches on one of my hot dogs.

Photo:  I hold dog number two, after having wolfed-down number one.  I enjoyed three hot dogs that evening.

Photo:  Dog number three is a grilled, bacon-wrapped hot dog, dressed with diced tomato, onion and pickled jalapeno pepper slices.  Condiments are catsup, mustard and mayonnaise.  This is a typical Tijuana-style hot dog, which is the de facto standard hot dog served on the streets of Baja California cities.  Just for the record, Sonora-style hot dogs are very different, but I'm in Baja California, not Sonora.  I asked the wife the name of the restaurant, and she said they didn't have a name, and after consuming my third hot dog, I wasn't in the mood to suggest a name.  These folks are really friendly, and they make great hot dogs!

The hot dogs are typical grilled, bacon-wrapped, Tijuana-style hot dogs, and in typical Mexican hot dog fashion, they're delicious.  The people are nice, the price is super-low, so you don't want to pass on this hot dog cart.
