As you walk the streets of downtown San Felipe, you won't find them during the day, as like bats, they only come out at night.  Unlike bats, they're common a common sight, as they don't fly, hide, or hang upside down.  What am I talking about?  Hot dog and hamburger carts, which are a common sight on the downtown streets of almost any town in Baja California!

Photo:  Almost every evening, Baja Dogs sets up shop on the northeast corner of Ave. Mar de Cortez and Calle Ensenada, at the north end of downtown San Felipe.  They even have a plastic table, with matching chairs and a trash can!

Photo:  It's 2100 on Friday evening, September 14, 2010, and Delilah, the hot dog lady, is busy cooking delicious bacon wrapped hot dogs.

Photo:  Salsa is added to your hot dog or hamburger by Delilah, but she also has add-it-yourself condiments, including a pot of Mexican gravy, melted cheese, grilled onions, and grilled peppers.  I elected not to load up my hot dogs with everything, as I was still full from my Chinese dinner only a couple of hours previous...

Photo:  I ordered two hot dogs, and photo shows Delilah adding salsa and diced onions to my hot dog, por mano, without the plastic gloves, as per the normal north of the border.  Personally, I could care less... Naturally, she asked my why I was taking photos, and I explained to her my mission, the fact that I'm a "foodie," I love hot dogs, and that I love to photograph beautiful women.

Photo:  The first of two bacon wrapped hot dogs that I enjoyed at Baja Dogs.  The price for each dog was only MEX $10.00, which is a bargain, especially with all of the optional condiments that you could add.  I elected only for salsa, diced onion, mayonnaise and mustard.  This dog is so pretty that I couldn't bear to add gravy or other condiments to it to spoil it's pristine appearance.  Bacon wrapped hot dogs rock the world, and Baja Dogs rocks the planet with their version of Baja-style hot dogs!

Baja Dogs makes your typical, delicious, bacon wrapped hot dogs, which are so popular on the streets of Baja California.  Don't look for them during the day, but in the early evening, as the sun begins to dip over the mountains, Baja Dogs sets up shop, and serves delicious hot dogs in downtown San Felipe.  You'll love their hot dogs!
