Welcome to the 2010 John Asquaga's Nugget Rib Cook-off, in beautiful Nevada, held each labor day weekend. We spent three fun-filled days eating ribs, drinking beer, eating more ribs, and drinking more beer.  Click on the link of choice to visit each restaurant we had the pleasure of enjoying.

Smokehouse Specialties:  Besides their award-winning ribs, Smokehouse Specialties serves smoked turkey drumsticks, wings, and the best sausage sandwich that I've ever eaten.

Texas Outlaw Barbecue:  These Kentucky boys really know how to make Texas-style barbecue, and I enjoy a meal of ribs, brisket, cole slaw and beans, Texas-stye.

Famous Dave's Legendary Pit BBQ:  A real crowd pleaser, Dave's cooks some of the best ribs in the business, covered with his famous barbecue sause.

BJ's Nevada Barbecue Company:  A local boy made good, BJ's has a unique way of cooking their delicious ribs, so unique that I had to give them a try.  Or maybe Brady, the attractive counter girl had something to do with it...

Jumbo Onion Rings:  If you love deep fried, beer-battered onion rings, zucchini, garlic fries or Texas-Style taters, you've come to the right place, as everything is deep fried!

Victoria's Beauty Salon and Bar:  Just for the occasion, Victoria opens up a bar in a lot next to her beauty salon, and serves beer, margaritas, along with run and coke.

Burg's Victorian Bar:  Burg's parks a beer trailer in front of their bar, and dispense Bud by the gallon, with an added bonus:  $2.00 Rolling Rock Beer!

The Camoflauge Beer Truck:  Bud beer dispensed from beer taps attatched to a vintage Ford truck, painted Desert Storm camoflauge?  It's true, and it's alive and well at the 2010 Nugget Rib Cook-off.
