In the world of four wheeling, the CA4WDC sanctioned Panamint Valley Days event is probably the premiere four wheeling event in California, and possibly the entire country.  Panamint Valley Days has everything a four wheeler could ask for, including wonderful trails, breathtaking scenery, rich history, and probably the best organized four wheel drive event in the nation.

Panamint Valley Days is held the second weekend in November, in the scenic and spectacular Panamint Valley, located in a remove corner of eastern California, just west of Death Valley National Park.  We were fortunate to attend the 23rd Annual Panamint Valley Days event, which was held November 7 to 9th, 2008, in beautiful Panamint Valley, California.

Panamint Valley features beautiful trails, ranging from the spectacularly scenic amd historic, to the sort of trails that are sure to rattle anybody's roll cage.  OK, so you have some of the most spectacular scenery that the California desert has to offer, but there's more...  Chef Andy's Ruff Rock Run Café, which means that you don't have to cook, so you can spend more of your time on your favorite trail, or just admiring the breathtaking scenery that Panamint Valley has to offer.  Do you want more?  Wanda and Bobby Taylor put together a raffle for Saturday night that featured many spectacular prizes, including the grand prize, a Warn winch.

Due to the current politcal situation, Panamint Valley has seen many trails fall victim to closure.  CA4WDC, and the Panamint Valley Days committe, stress that we're responisble, enviromnemtally-concerned "off-roaders," and we four-wheel in a enviromentally-friendly, and responsible manner.  That means that we stay on the existing trails, and we do the utmost to ensure that our cherished trails remain open.  We encourage everybody to have fun on the trail, but we ask that you behave in a responsible manner.

Welcome to Panamint Valley Days, 2008!
