Bennett's Kitchen Bar Market has been serving fine "Americana" cuisine in Roseville, CA since May, 2019, and on weekends, diners enjoy one of the best brunches in the area, served by Bennett's friendly staff!

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's just before the weekend opening time of 09:00 on Saturday, October 29, 2022, and I've arrived at Bennett's Kitchen Bar Market to enjoy their weekend brunch, which happens every weekend.

Bennett's has been in Roseville, CA since May, 2019, and has achieved a reputation as a fine restaurant, which specializes in serving upscale, "Americana" cuisine.

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, you'll note the open kitchen, the full-service bar, and the deli counter... and it's all lighted by natural lighting, thanks to the huge skylight.  The dining room itself is quite compact, as most of the seating is on the "patio," which is more like a dining room than a traditional patio.

Photo:  As you enter Bennett's, you'll be greeted by friendly Mandy, who will welcome you with a friendly smile and seat you at the open table of your choice.  She offered to seat me on the patio, which sounded good to me, but looking back, I wish I would have been seated at the bar.

Photo:  Bennett's showcases an exceptional, full-service bar, that was active on this Saturday morning.

Photo:  The restaurant features a "market" that offers pastries, deli meat and pre-made meals, for easy take-out. It's all in the lobby, under the attractive skylight.

Photo:  Mr. Brian Bennett, co-owner of the restaurant, was busy waiting on diners, and seemed to be doing everything to keep things running efficiently.  He took time out of his busy schedule to welcome me to the restaurant, chit-chat and make me feel at home.

Photo:  Bennett's Kitchen Bar Market offers a "Brunch Menu" on weekends, that features all of your favorites.  In my case... what should I order... a "Bennett's Cheeseburger" or a "Country Fried Steak?"  The steak won out, enhanced by a couple optional eggs.

Photo: My cheerful host, Greg, brings me a Corona beer from the nearby bar, topped with a slice of lime, to get my Saturday morning started the right way.  No worries on my part, as Roseville Transit provides good bus service when driving isn't an option.

Photo:  The "patio" of the restaurant is more like a large dining room than a traditional patio, as it offers two levels of seating, it's enclosed, heated and air conditioned, and very comfortable.  I noted there were several television monitors, each tuned to a different college football game on this Saturday morning.

Photo:  Bennett's features an open kitchen, next to the bar, where you can watch the talented chef prepare your meal.  After placing my order and taking my first sip of beer, I had the time to look around and take a few photos. Besides great food, there is nothing more that I love than an open kitchen!

Photo:  The chef has talent, as he prepared my breakfast perfectly.  When you dine at Bennett's Kitchen Bar Market, you'll enjoy quality cuisine, served by friendly staff.

Photo:  Meet Greg, my amazingly friendly host, who treated me like family, and who provided efficient, personal and friendly service.

Photo:  I'm seated on the comfortable "patio" - which is more like a dining room than a patio - and my friendly server Greg has snapped my photo, as I'm ready to enjoy my amazing brunch on this mid-Saturday morning in late October, 2022.

Photo:  From the "Brunch" menu - served on Saturdays and Sundays - I went with "Country Fried Steak," along with two optional eggs, fried sunnyside up, and placed on top of my delicious breakfast.  The menu describes this delicious offering as, "Fresh hand-cut smashed potatoes, covered with sausage gravy..."  I describe the breakfast as simply DELICIOUS!

The breakfast is based on a tender cut of beef, seasoned, marinated and pounded flat, in an oval shape.  This isn't your neighborhood diner's "Chicken Fried Steak" as the beef was a choice cut of meat, breaded and crispy deep fried to a perfect, golden brown, covered by rich, delicious sausage gravy.  The meat was placed on a bed of "smashed potatoes," which were "broasted" - a combination of broiling and grilling - red potatoes, complete with skins - I love potato skin - and the potatoes were cut to size, seasoned and "smashed," which made for the perfect size for eating.  A knife was included for cutting, but the potatoes were "smashed" to the prefect size, and the meat was so tender that the knife was simply "window dressing."

I was a little surprised the dish didn't include eggs, but after chatting with my amazing friendly server, Greg, I ordered two eggs, fried sunnyside up, as eggs are a quintessential part of breakfast dining at a fine restaurant, such as Bennett's. Greg suggested the eggs to be placed on top, which was a great suggestion, and made for a stunning presentation.

The steak was fork-tender, seasoned perfectly, battered and deep fried to a beautiful, golden brown.  I sort of cut each bite into a cross section, so I was rewarded with steak, potato, gravy and a bit of egg... how many ways can you say "breakfast nirvana?"  The breakfast was simply delicious!

Photo:  You can see all of the goodness in this breakfast of "Country Fried Steak," including the "smashed potatoes," the perfectly battered and deep fried steak, the rich country gravy, along with a couple of fried eggs.  I recommend Bennett's for "foodies" and "weekenders" who appreciate a fine weekend brunch!

Bennett's Kitchen Bar Market serves amazing "comfort food," with a flair, in a comfortable and attractive patio, bar and dining room, and Brian and his friendly staff provide some of the best service in town.  Bennett's is a true gem of a restaurant, and a welcome addition to the western Placer County dining scene.   When you're looking to treat yourself to an amazing weekend brunch, look to Bennett's Kitchen Bar Market, located in Roseville, CA.
