The Mimosa House is located at the corner of Pleasant Grove and Fairway, in an upscale shopping center, and has been serving mimosas and delicious breakfasts since the restaurant opened, back in 2012.  We first visited the restaurant back in 2012 with the now-defunct Sacramento Breakfast Club Early Toast Breakfast, and we've been wanting to visit ever since, but the timing just didn't work out.  However, late Friday morning, December 08, 2017, the timing worked, and we paid a long-overdue visit to The Mimosa House.

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  The Mimosa House enjoys a great, courtyard location next to Nugget Market, in upscale Nugget Shopping Center, located in suburban Roseville.  Patio dining is offered, and I was truly tempted, but outside dining wasn't an option on this chilly Friday morning in early December.

The Roseville location of The Mimosa House is the latest link in a chain of four restaurants, all owned by the same party, and all located in the greater Sacramento area.

Photo:  At today's writing, the restaurant is undergoing a redecoration project, so the inside wasn't as nice as we remembered it from our previous visit, back in April, 2012.  The dining room is long and narrow and leads to the main dining room, at the rear of the restaurant.  The mimosa bar and counter are not shown, but are to the right of the photo.  This is the view of the restaurant as you enter the front entrance; there is a side entrance to the patio.  I truly believe had I been dining alone today, I would have sat outside, and braved the chilly December morning.

As you enter the restaurant, you're greeted by a friendly greeter, who greets and seats you.  Today, the restaurant was very busy, so she took our name and told us there would be about a 15-minute wait for a table.  No worries, as that gave me a great opportunity to snap photos, but my wife didn't appreciate the "down time."

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, the mimosa bar is to your immediate right.  We walked into a very busy restaurant, just after 10 in the morning on Friday, December 08, 2017, and the friendly greeter-gal took our name and let us know there would be about a 15-minute wait.  So we stood around and waited, like the other folks are doing in this photo.  The greeter/seater gal really had her time-check in order, as we were seated within 15 minutes, just as promised.  We appreciate great service and information!

The restaurant is undergoing redecoration, and we noticed television monitors above the bar are missing, other things seem out of place, and there are boxes of "stuff" placed at strategic locations.  There are power saws, saw horses and other tools on the patio.  Since The Mimosa House is open for breakfast and lunch only, and closes at 3 in the afternoon, I assume all of the interior work takes place after closing time.  Consider that every table was taken during today's visit, and customers were standing near the bar, construction crews wouldn't have exactly added to the atmosphere.

Photo:  The main dining room, in the back of the restaurant.  We were seated just outside the main dining room, on a long and narrow corridor, at a cozy table for two.

Photo:  Since the restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch only, the breakfast menu is extensive - five pages - and features everything a breakfast lover could hope for.  There are healthy and/or diet options as well, as you can forget the potatoes and instead choose cottage cheese, sliced tomatoes or fruit.  It seemed appropriate to photo this section of the menu, as Sharlene and I both made our breakfast choices from this page.

Photo:  Our friendly server, Rebecca, brings our breakfast to our table with a smile.  Like the other staff members in the restaurant, she is very friendly, and she took great care of us.

Photo:  Sharlene ordered from the "House Scrambles" section of the breakfast menu, and her choice was "Chicken Apple Sausage" - her de facto standard - which featured sausage, scrambled eggs and toast.  She chose house potatoes rather than hash browns, or the other options rather than potatoes.  She loved her breakfast, and took some of it home in a box.

Photo:  I went with the "Hot Link" from the "Basic Combinations" section of the menu, but I must confess that I nearly chose linguica.  The hot link was deliciously HOT, not mild like most "hot" links are, but hot is what I wanted to warm me up on a chilly Friday morning.  Today I chose hash browns, along with my de facto standard, eggs over easy.  Buttered sourdough toast rounded out my wonderful breakfast.

Photo:  Sharlene and I are ready to enjoy a wonderful breakfast at The Mimosa House in Roseville.  Thanks, Rebecca, for snapping our photo, on my request.

We didn't get to experience the full-service bar or enjoy one of the mimosas the restaurant is noted for... but the bar certainly looked inviting, but since I was driving, and Sharlene had things later to do, so enjoying a mimosa would have been out of the question.   As far as breakfast is concerned, The Mimosa House is a welcome addition to the Nugget Shopping Center, and is highly recommended for a Roseville breakfast destination.
