Photo:  It's early in the morning on Saturday, July 30, 2017, and I walked by Sakura Japanese Bistro and Bar and took a photo, with dramatic lighting, due to unsettled weather.  I had intended to visit this restaurant, but I never got around to it before they closed their doors in early August.  After "Googling" about their closeure, most complaints seemed to be attributed to slow service, and dynamic quality of food.

Sakura closed their doors in August of 2017, before I had a chance to pay them a visit.

Photo:  The decor inside Sakura, looking at the sushi bar, with a chef at work.

Photo:  The dining room, as you enter the restaurant.  The layout is virturally unchanged, except the new owners have replaced the sushi bar tables and "opened up" the dining room my removing some of the furniture.  Perhaps because of COVID? The plants are also gone.  Of course there is updated signage, but even the paint in the dining room is the same.

Photo:  Back in the Sakura days, the sushi bar featured a nice blue, neon glow, which seems to be missing at Tang's Sushi.  I graciously thank and credit Yelp for this photo, and the preceeding two interior photos.

Photo:  It's early morning, Friday, October 28, 2017 and Tang's Sushi has announced their grand opening, after Sakura shuttered the doors back in August.  What was I thinking not to "open up" the new restaurant?

Back to Tang's Sushi... amazing sushi and Japanese cuisine in Roseville...
