Today, Tuesday, April 22, 2014, I was in the mood for "something different," for dinner.  Check out my post from yesterday, so you knew I had lots of pork on hand, and you probably figured out that I was going to do some grilling, on my outdoor grill.  Something different? How about a Hawaiian-flavored meal?  Why not? ... I've never done this before, so I decided to give it a try.

Photo:  Pork, pineapple rings, pepper and squash are cooking on the outdoor grill.  The rice was prepared earlier in my wife's "rice cooker," which makes rice a snap.  You just throw the rice in the cooker, add water, and press the "start" button, and it does the rest.

Photo: Tonight, I felt like taking a trip to our 50th state, so I grilled a Hawaiian-style dinner.  Sorry, no Spam, but I'll be posting Spam in a future dinner, as I absolutely love Spam.  Tonight's dinner... Grilled pork, basted with Kansas City-style BBQ sauce.  OK, I know... Kansas City meets Hawaii, but the fusion was perfect!  Rice, cooked earlier in my wife's "rice cooker," grilled pepper and pineapple slices.  Oh yes!  Dinner tonight was Hawaiian-influenced, and delicious!!!

Sorry, no Spam, at least tonight, but the food was delicious, and it was a lot of fun to do something different on the outdoor grill, which is the perfect way to spend a spring night in Roseville.
